These are a few of my favorite things

Lost Dutchman Days Weekend
Calista represented SMES (and held the sign I might add) in the parade.
We got to baby sit Madelynn....pure baby bliss.
Seeing Cassie and Steve and getting to hang out.
Going to the carnival with some of my favorite girls.
Loving my blue-eyed girl AND my two puppy girls.
Heaven we were in this weekend!

Amour.....and skating

Every Valentine's Day James takes his two girls out on the town.
This year we went to Rustler's Roost.
Who doesn't love a restaurant that has a slide, a bull, and a view?
We also went to Tempe Marketplace and shopped.
We ended the night by seeing Avatar....oh Avatar how we all loved you so!
Thank you James for spoiling the crap out of us but mostly for loving us.

AND then there was Skateland today with my Blue-Eyed Girl, after breakfast at The Waffle House.
We had good times together.
She was scared at first because lets face it...Skateland is scary the first time you go.
I was scared too, but I didn't want Calista to smell my fear so I pretended I knew what I was doing.
I really didn't know what I was doing.
Rollerblading in my neighborhood is one thing.
Rollerskating with tons of other people is another!
We went shopping in Old Town Mesa after.
We discovered Glitter Box, fabulous store.
We had sweets from Sweet Treats (shhhh...don't tell her Orthodontist).
We met James at Mimi's for dinner.
WE are in love with being a family.

Tooth Jewelry

Calista the Blue-Eyed Girl got braces today.
 Or
as she likes to call them.....
Tooth Jewelry.
James and I are very proud of her and her fancy beJeweled enamel.
We love her.
We hope we feed her all the right foods (as to not break these Jewels off her little teeth).
Before the Jewels......

After the Jewels....she looks 5 years older.

Tooth Couture

Then the pain set in AND she was REALLY hungry.

So she tried to eat a soft bagel, so sad she couldn't finish it.

She did finish off 2 popsicles, Jello, and a bowl of noodles.
The journey to straight teeth begins for our baby girl.
The journey of trying to deal with our baby girl growing up begins for Mama and Daddy Smith.

What Fun.....

Madelynn and her brown eyes are offcially ONE!
Her party was a lot of fun, a fabulous day at the park.
Calista was VERY sick and had to miss it (she is still grieving about this).
I only had one hour of sleep last night, I spent my night taking care of my blue-eyed girl and her sick belly.
I was so happy that I was still able to make the party even though I wanted to pass out at every turn and I missed my family not being there.
Cassie and Steve we love you and want to thank you for letting us be a part of Madee's life.
We can't wait to meet your new little one in 4 short months.

Kisses~
